The Padres didn’t make the playoffs. That last game loss is going to hurt for a long time. It will hurt for both the players and fans. It won’t stop hurting for a long time. 2006, 2007, and 2008 still hurt as a Mets fan. Eventually the sting will go away but it takes longer than anyone can imagine.
